According
to police, statements have been recorded from 20 people in connection to the
disappearance of a businessman in Trincomalee.
Police
say that a number of teams are conducting investigations. They added that
initial investigations had failed to reveal clues on the whereabouts of the
missing businessman.
Police said
that they had examined CCTV footage recorded in the Trincomalee town, and that
the businessman could not be identified in the footage.
However,
police also said that the image of the businessman was recorded in the
restaurant where he had breakfast.
The
businessman, Mohammed Nazrin, a resident of Bandaragama, has been reported
missing since Sunday evening.
Police
said that he was travelling with twelve other people aboard
three vehicles, to Trincomalee in order to attend a gold auction.
