In the verdict delivered in courts
today in the Baratha Lasksman Premachandra murder case five persons
including Duminda Silva were sentenced to death .
However
the Attorneys at Law who appeared for the five had added that against the
verdict appeals
would be made to
the supreme courts.However until the appeal case is heard in the Supreme Courts
those sentenced would be imprisoned.The verdict for this case was delivered by
a bench consisting of three Judges.But at the Supreme courts the appeal would
be heard by a Judge bench consisting of five supreme court Judges.
In
the supreme courts no evidences would not be heard again.
