Former CBSL governor leaves the country





Speaking in Parliament UPFA Ratnapura District Parliamentarian Ranjith de Zoysa said that the Former Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Arjuna Mahendran has left the country.
The MP said that the former governor had left the country in the backdrop of the COPE report into the Central bank bond issue being presented to parliament tomorrow.
De Zoysa added that Sri Lanka does not have the power to impound the passport of a foreign citizen.
Meanwhile, the Controller of immigration and Emigration at the Bandaranaike International Airport said that Former Central bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran had left the country on a flight bound to Singapore.
