At a
public meeting of the joint opposition members held at the Bentota
Cooperative mansion Member of Parliament Geetha Kumarasinghe on the 23rd
instant had this to say:-
"I
too was called to eat "helape"to offer a position.I treasure Mahinda
Rajapaksa's
leadership more
than positions.Today 90 % of the people love Mahinda Rajapaksa and insist on
his leadership and are with him.
All
persons who engage in the fight to make Mahinda Mahataya the President are all
heroes and heroines.All 51 Members of Parliament in the joint opposition have
been dragged into some sort of allegation and have been brought courts.They
spent more time in courts.,police or in the FCID.But if we join with them there
are not court cases.They ask to join with the UNP to destroy the country."
